Lynch Chevrolet GMC of Burlington

Dec 2, 2021

Dan Dace, a Sales Consultant at The Lynch GM Superstore in Burlington, wanted to do something special this holiday season and help a person in need.   Dace stated, “when we took this vehicle in trade, I knew I could personally change someone’s life.”

Dace personally purchased the vehicle and worked with the service department to get the vehicle in good condition before starting the contest on his social media account to give away a 2009 Chevrolet Impala.

Many years ago, Dace himself had fallen on difficult times.  He had previously been very sick and even almost lost his house, he stated. Knowing firsthand how hard it can be to get a leg up.  After years of working hard, finding a new career, and never giving up, he is so excited to be in a position to help those in need.

Dace ran the contest for two weeks, personally reviewing over 125 submissions.  The contest was simple, do you or someone you know need help? Dace told his followers on Facebook as he explained his plan to give away a vehicle.

Dace said, “he wanted to find the perfect person who was deserving, and whom a vehicle would help change a person’s life.”  He found the perfect person.  “Her story just pulled at my heartstrings,” stated Dace.

Suzanne Giloy was nominated on behalf of her friend Amador Navarrete.

She stated, Suzanne had her car for over 30 years and was recently in an accident, and the car was no longer drivable.  She didn’t have the resources to purchase a new vehicle.  She said that Suzanne used her vehicle to help others get to doctors’ appointments, bring food, necessities, and medicine to those who could no longer drive.

Dace and his wife were touched by her story that they instantly knew she was the perfect candidate to win the vehicle.  “This not only helps Suzanne back on her feet but allows her to continue to help others in the community.”

“I am just constantly blown away by our people.  Dan and his wife did this entirely on their own as a way to help our community.  I am so proud of them and their efforts,” Stated Patrick Lynch President of The Lynch Family of Dealerships.
